Military Ball

Boy do I have ALOT of scrappin to do just from last weeks events. Here is a picture of Zac with Leiutenant Col. Gearhart (his teacher) from the ball. As normal my son tried avoiding the camera for most of the night. Today though poor kid has come down with the flu....needless to say I'm lysoling everything so no one else gets it. The two girls are gone so it's Tim & I that really need to not get it. Today we had new couch & love seat delivered, our old set (almost 10 yrs old) was so beaten & not comfy at all. It was a great deal so we couldn't pass it up (I didn't even see it til today, Tim did). Feels good to have something new, we figured our kids are older now & the puppies are out of there chewing stage so we could finally treat ourselves. Besides hubby got a plow truck this weekend, no more snowblowing for 3 to 4 hours after working all day! So when daddy gets something....so does mommy...LOL works great for both of us!! We got almost a foot of snow here yesterday...was toooooo funny he had gotten up at 6 yesterday & said he needed to plow out his car & that he would get out of work early to plow for us & mom...I told him I knew he only wanted to play with his new toy...he & zac were out plowing for a couple hours. Mom & I both laughed at the two boys in the new toy!! Guess "boys" truly never grow up...LOL

winter carnival

Thursday night was Brie's last winter carnival dance at the Lancaster Elementary School. So hard to believe my baby girl is already 13 & will be entering high school in the fall!! SO SAD:( She looked so beautiful & all grown up. Last night Tim had to work late so the kids & I had to run into littleton to do a few errands, so I decided to run into Gen. of memories real quick to say hi to Lynne & get a few new supplies...can't wait to start creating with them. Then we came home to make homemade pizza & play a board game together. Tonight is Zacs military ball so we've been polishing up all the pins & other parts of his uniform....mama certainly raised a fine looking man in uniform!!! He has informed us at this point he wants to follow in Tims footsteps & be a cop after getting out of school...guess I will never get to breathe that sigh of relief & will sit right next to the scanner when I know he's out on the streets as I did with every call out whether it was for the PD or fire dept. (which I still faithfully listen to so I know my dear friend(s) are ok. Besides I just want to know what's going on around us. Anyways off to help my baby boy get spiffed up...have a great night!

GOT SNOW????

I WAS SO SUPRISED AFTER LISTENING TO THE WEATHER ALL DAY YESTERDAY TO WAKE UP TO NO SNOW!!! IT'S BEEN SPITTING SNOW ALL DAY HERE, BUT STILL NO REAL ACCUMULATION, MELTS AS SOON AS IT HITS THE VEHICLES IN THE YARD....NO COMPLAINTS ON THIS END THOUGH. I AM SO READY FOR SPRING!!!
A FEW UPDATES.....ZAC GOT ANOTHER PROMOTION YESTERDAY IN JROTC, HE IS NOW PRIVATE FIRST CLASS...SO EXCITING. HIS MILITARY BALL IS THIS WEEKEND AT THE TOWN & COUNTRY & HE'S GOING TO BE A SABER BEARER...A HUGE HONOR SEEMS HOW HE IS ONLY A FRESHMAN. I CANNOT EXPLAIN HOW GREAT THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN FOR HIM. SURE DOES LOOK HANDSOME IN HIS UNIFORM (S).
KRYSTAL HAS HAD THE ECHOCARDIOGRAM, STRESS TEST & TILT TABLE TEST SO FAR IN THE PAST WEEK & A HALF. NEXT IS BEING HOOKED UP TO A 30 DAY HEART MONITOR. WHICH WILL BE HAPPENING SOON. SHE HAS BEEN SO SICK THIS WEEK, BORDERLINE BRONCHITIS/PNEUMONIA. LOADED UP WITH ANTIBIOTICS & OTHER MEDS. TODAY WAS HER FIRST DAY BACK TO SCHOOL, THEN WE HEAD TO THE NEUROLOGIST AFTER SHE GETS HOME. SHE IS CLOSER TO BEING ABLE TO MOVE INTO HER OWN ROOM SOON. TIM HAS TO WORK ALL WEEKEND, SO I MAY HAVE TO CALL GRAMPA WHO KNOWS???
OTHER THAN THAT IT'S THE SAME OLE SAME EVERYDAY.....TRYING TO STILL FIND THE POSITIVES TO KEEP GOING...

The most amazing bday!!

What a weekend!!! Friday night we went to a talent show at the high school, 4 of krystals friends are trying to raise $9000 so they can walk in the breast cancer walk in May, luckily the auditorium was pretty full, so the girls should've gotten a good chunck that night. Some amazing talent & alot of laughs & one gig that I couldn't wait for it to be over...heavy metal group that was screaming the whole time....certainly didn't help the headache any!!! Then Sat. was my birthday...35 already.....anyways Krystal had a suprise & the only thing I knew is I had to be up & ready by 9 am. It ended up being a spa treatment at Mountain View grand hotel.....OMG!!!!!!!! It was the most amazing thing I have ever experienced. Started with soaking in a tub that had tons of jets massaging the body, infused with lavender for 1/2 hour. Then off with the massage therepist for 1 1/2 hours.....that felt incredible! Hot stone massage was awesome. I don't ever remember feeling so good & relaxed. In fact I was so relaxed that I just couldn't focus on anything. Then her & I went for pizza @ one of our favorite pizza places (Scorpios). Came home & I just looked at Tim & said I need to lay down. So I rested for a couple of hours, then Tim brought me out to eat @ applebees just him & I. Then we went to grams to meet mom & the kids for cake & presents.......Brie has been babysitting & spent her own money on a beutiful necklace & bracelet set, pringles & chocolate...all of my fav's!!! Zac got me bottles of my favorite strawberrry soda with his money (they both picked out incredible cards for me also)...so sweet they took there own cash & bought me my fav's!!! Mom got me a beautiful candle set & a book about dogs, gram got me a $25 gift card to Tj maxx, hubby got me a pink set of headphones for my mp3 player & a $100 gift card. It was the most amazing birthday I have EVER had....I have such an awesome family...the really focused on making me feel good & relaxed this year. I just wish the relaxed feeling would stay...the pain & everything managed to come right back....owell I have hope that one day I will be ok.
Last night started another new med. I absolutly hate it but won't give up yet. I woke up so dizzy & lightheaded, so tired & worn it has lasted almost all day & I took it at bedtime like suggested. The only thing about it is I did manage to get a couple hours of sleep compared to the usual not much. So there is my positive for that! This week Krystal will have her tilt table test tomorrow & her stress test on Thurs. I pray they find out something so she can start having a normal life. Going to go create now...have a fantabulous day

OMG!

What a long few days it has been around here! Sat. morning Tim & Zac were up bright & early to start chopping all the ice off the roof because we sprung a few leaks in the girls room & bathroom again...we were so dissappointed because Tim & dad spent all that time putting on a brand new roof this fall, but it's because of the heat loss in the house from under the roof or something like that. So that took over 4 hours to do, then he had to help with my moms roof for the same reason. Krystal & I laid low all morning as neither of us were feelin that good. I've determined super bowl sunday is not a good night for this family, last year my husband thought he was having a heart attack so we missed it, this year Krystal somehow popped out the joint between her pelvic bone & back so we were in the ER that night! Luckily before that we had a pretty good family day, Tim & I decided to take gram, mom, & Rich to Hoagies to try our favorite little resturant & yup they are hooked to...the food is soooooooo good. The kids were all gone to different location, so it was just adult time (I almost forgot what that was like). Yesterday was on the road at 7 to meet with yet another dr. in Dart. he gave me a prescription for Lidoderm patches for relief in my neck...can't wait to try those tonight. Then it was fly back up the highway to get Krystal to a chiropracter for 12:30 in franconia....come to find out she popped out the joint on both sides, her left leg was over 2 inches shorter than the right. She has to go back tomorrow(wed) to try to get it placed back in. apparently it will take 3 times this week & 2 times next week & so on. This morning we had to meet with the cardiologist for krystal & will be starting tons of testing. Tomorrow is a ecocardiogram, next week is stress test, then tilt table test, they will be hooking her up on monitor for 30 days & so on...sounds like it may be able to be corrected with meds or surgery, so that's the positive news....but they have to find out exactly what it is she has. poor kid...i pray she gets a break from all this crap soon....then we have to go back to the oncologist again. owell so that's it for now...phew i'm over exhausted replaying it all again...
